Located on 25 acres of forest with views of the Niagara escarpment and the slopes of Blue Mountain. The spa offers a variety of treatments, including massages, facials, and body wraps. You can also take advantage of the saunas, eucalyptus steam rooms, and outdoor whirlpools. Whether you are prepping for a big night out with the bachelor party or recovering from the day before you will feel amazing after a day of pampering.
2) Georgian Hills Vineyard
Georgian Hills Vineyards was founded by John Ardiel a 4th generation apple grower and Robert Ketchin who brought 40 years of experience of wine and beverage marketing. Together they have grown Georgian Hills Vineyard into one of the best wineries Ontario has to offer. They have indoor tasting rooms and outdoor seating with fire pits for the colder days available year round. Stop by for a sample flight of their cool climate wines and some charcuterie. With a beautiful vineyard as a backdrop and with a view of the Niagara escarpment, you won't want to leave. The perfect idea for bachelorette or bachelor parties. We recommend their Maréchal Foch a cool climate red wine which features notes of red berry, caramel and cedar or their Marquette which is full of black currant, black berry, plum and spice flavour.
3) The Roost Wine Company
The Roost Wine Company is a small, family-run business based in Blue Mountain, Ontario. With its cozy tasting room, amazing views and friendly staff, it's no wonder this winery has become a popular destination for locals and visitors alike. Their wines are sustainably farmed and hand made in small batches. The Roost embraces the cold climate that it calls home by producing varietals that thrive in cooler climates such as Foch, Marquette and the Frontenac. Visit them for a guided blind tasting and a charcuterie board or stop in for a quick glass of wine and purchase some bottles for your hotel or chalet!
4) Thornbury Craft Company - Cider and Beer House
It is fitting that Thornbury Cider and Beer House would located in Thornbury Ontario which is Ontarios largest apple growing region. The building that Thornbury Cider House is currently in has been in use since the early 1900's. Originally used as a storage facility for apples, it was then used to store ammunition during the second world war and as a nuclear fallout shelter during the cold war. In 2007 Thornbury Cider and Beer House opened. It has since become a popular destination due to its lively taproom and its variety of cider and now beer! located in the heart of downtown Thornbury its a great spot to unwind and relax all year round. In addition to their beverage list they have a snack menu loaded with favourites such as charcuterie, pretzel bites and spinach dip to keep your stag or stagette party fed.
5) Still Fields Brewery
Still Fields Brewery opened in 2021. It is a farmhouse brewery located in between Thornbury and Meaford. They pride themselves on creating small batch, mixed culture fermentation brews with a focus on utilizing local ingredients, many of which are grown right on site at their 22 acre farm. In addition to the brewery they also have a hop farm which provides their beer with a unique terroir specific to their property. Still Fields is open everyday and is well worth the trip for your wedding party. The taproom is set up under a covered patio/barn which adds to the awesome atmosphere that they provide. There are regular food pop ups and their merchandise is created by local artists. Whether you are a seasoned craft beer drinker or are fairly new to it, there is something for everyone in your party to enjoy.
Collingwood Brewery opened in 2014 and has been a staple of the craft beer scene in the area ever since. They run a beautiful outdoor beer garden with live music, food pop ups, fresh craft beer and local arts and crafts vendors. Collingwood Brewery is heavily involved in supporting other local Collingwood and Blue Mountain businesses as well as supporting local charities with initiatives such as their Happy Tails beer which directly supports the Georgian Triangle Humane Society. In addition to their fantastic line up of beer they also now serve house made seltzers for those who are looking for something a little different. 7) Side Launch Brewing Company
Side Launch Brewing Company takes it name from local history. Collingwood has been used to build ships for over a hundred years. However due to geographical constraints the ships were forced to be launched into the water sideways or "side launched" rather than bow or stern first. The brewery which opened in 2014 now offers 5 core beers as well as rotating seasonal's and a line of seltzers. Side Launch Brewing Company has a spacious open concept taproom with the brewhouse and the fermentation tanks clearly visible on the other side of the bar along with a beer garden packed with tables and activities such as corn hole and horse shoes. They regularly have food trucks parked onsite and have live music most Saturdays. Its the perfect spot to stop in for a quick beer or to spend an entire afternoon.
8) Spy Cider House and Distillery
Founded by an expert wine maker and an expert cider producer, Spy Cider House offers some of the best cider and spirits in Ontario. Feel like you are taking a short vacation with James Bond at this spy themed Cider House. Located a short 15 minute drive from Blue Mountain Village, Spy offers 3 core ciders along with a variety of seasonal offerings along with their 6 house distilled spirits. Stop in for a flight of cider and spirits to kick off your bachelorette party and take a quick tour of the production area and learn how they turn apples into cider, Gin or Vodka!
9) Axed Blue Mountain
Axed was founded in 2018 with just an axe throwing trailer. Due its popularity it soon opened up an indoor location in Thornbury which unfortunately closed during the Covid pandemic. Although a minor set back, Axed has since opened up a new location in the heart of Blue Mountain Village. Axe throwing is a great way to blow off some steam and although it can seem intimidating at first it is very easy to learn with a bit of practice. It is the perfect activity to include in your bachelor or bachelorette party plans. After you are done throwing axes, Axed has a full bar where your wedding party can relax and revel in their axe throwing glory.
10) Black Bellows Brewery
Located right in the heart of Collingwood Black Bellows Brewery is a great way to wrap up a long day of touring around and activities. With over 12 beers available to try and a full kitchen featuring brewpub classics like the Bavarian Board, Black Bellows is a must visit. Black Bellows opened in 2018 in a century old building that was originally used as a blacksmiths shop. If beer isn't your thing, not to worry!
